报告摘要：

Recent research in the field of machine learning has investigated various powerful models and their applications. This talk will present four such developments carried out in the research group "Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis" (PRIA) at the University of Münster, Germany: Consensus model learning, complex-valued neural networks, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks (KANs). In each case, either basic algorithms or their applications (healthcare, chemistry) will be discussed.

主讲人简介：

蒋晓毅，德国明思特大学数学与计算机科学系教授。1983年获北京大学计算机科学学士学位，1989年获瑞士伯尔尼大学博士，1997年获大学授课资格(Habilitation)学位。2002年成为柏林工业大学副教授，同年取得明思特大学正教授席位，在明思特大学任职期间曾多年担任数学与计算机学系系主任。长期从事模式识别及图像分析方面的研究，除基本算法研发外也侧重跨学科的合作，尤其是在生物医学图像分析方面。2006年成为国际模式识别学会 (IAPR) Fellow。多年来服务于不同的学术组织，现在担任德国华人教授学会主席、国际模式识别学会理事会德国代表、IEEE EMBS Technical Committee on Biomedical Imaging and Image Processing 主席、ISBI (Int. Symposium on Biomedical Imaging) Steering Committee 主席, 德国模式识别学会Executive Board成员及技术委员会主席。现担任《Int. Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence》 主编、《Int. Journal of Neural Systems》及《Journal of Big Data》编委。
