报告摘要：

In this paper we study a dynamic pricing problem where a customer’s willingness to pay is an unknown function of a large number of contextual information that needs to be learned. We develop a nonparametric variable selection scheme that can select the relevant contextual variables. We further incorporate the scheme into an online dynamic pricing algorithm, and show that the expected cumulative regret of the algorithm grows in a rate that matches the theoretical lower bound. This is a joint work with Wenhao Li at City University of Hong Kong and Ningyuan Chen at the University of Toronto.

主讲人简介：

洪流，现任教于复旦大学管理学院和大数据学院，任复旦大学特聘教授、管理学院弘毅讲席教授和大数据学院副院长。本科毕业于清华大学，博士毕业于美国西北大学。曾任香港科技大学工业工程与物流管理学系教授和香港城市大学商学院管理科学讲座教授。洪流的研究方向包括随机运筹学和数据科学，在OR和MS等UTD期刊上发表论文20余篇。现任OR领域主编、MS副主编和INFORMS仿真分会主席。
